My friend Rebecca and I wanted our kids to get the fun of summer camp without the price so we made our own summer camp program. This we we focused on ART. We taught the kids of diffrent styles and kids of art and we did a lot of art projects. Here are some of the fun things we did.
Painted Tee Shirts ( fabric art)
Glued Beads to the outsides of clay pots to make( mosaics)
Shapes stickers on visors ( collages)
Decorated sugar cookies ( Edible Art)
Made our own food based paint and let them paint a picture
glued many different kinds lentils to paper
dyed cooked spaghetti and made designs on paper
made shapes out of bread dough and ate it
We showed a movie about art, and took a walk through our very own home made art gallery
and last we bought the kids a canvas and let them try there hands at painting on canvases
We also took the kids on a field trip to the Childrens Art museum in Oakland where they got to make.
Paintings
Clay houses
build there own boxes to be what ever they wanted them to be.
I think we learned a lot about art, and the kids can't wait to see what we come up witj for them to do next.
